
Executive Vice President, North American Sales
As Executive Vice President of North American Sales at AOL Advertising, Mark Ellis oversees Regional Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Strategy and Sales Operations. His team focuses on creating and delivering digital marketing solutions for client and agency partners.
Mark joined AOL in early 2004 as VP of the Detroit Region, and subsequently managed the Central Sales Division, the Eastern Sales Division and the Vertical and Product Sales teams. His positions before joining AOL include SVP of Corporate and Digital Sales for sports marketing firm IMG, and SVP of Sales for internet startup Quokka Sports. Prior to this, Mark spent eight years at Time Inc., where he held a variety of positions including Publisher of New Media and Publishing Director for Sports Illustrated.
Mark graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Marketing and received his MBA from the University of Detroit. He is married with three children and is an avid golfer, basketball player, runner and reader. He is on the Adcraft board of directors, was co-founder and treasurer of 313 Digital and is a former board member of the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau).
